Blue wall

I found this painted wall on my travels last weekend. Just before sunset, the side light brought out the texture of the swollen plywood and I thought it was interesting enough for a photo.

The only reason I like this photo is because I took it with a flash in a dark restaurant and it turned out well considering. I bounced the on-camera flash off a reflector I held in my other hand. On-camera flash photos are usually terrible but this small modification makes an enormous difference.

A few more photos before we take down the decorations. We didn’t know it at the time, but Louie was coming down with a cold during his event last weekend. He’s had a rough few days, but the little trooper has turned the corner and has more energy today.

I love being able to work from coffee shops sometimes. A change of scenery can fire the creative juices and power the concentration.
